About Cultural Activities

Mahatma Gandhi Vidyamandir’s Arts, Science and Commerce College Vinchur Dalvi nurtures, encourages and provides a perfect blend of academics, sports and cultural activities. Our institute provides the right platform for a campus life that is bright and colourful where creative ventures are constantly encouraged.

Students are highly motivated to foster their interests, skills, talents in arts, dance, drama, music, performing arts, painting, singing, acting and so on. Cultural activities bring joy, fun, excitement, can act like stress busters, can encourage team spirit, and even provide leadership growth. Stage performances and talent shows play a key role in developing one’s personality. We ensure to keep our institute as an academic institution that promotes artistic performances.

The Cultural Committee strives to celebrate the cultural diversity in the college by organizing various competitions, events, activities and programs every year. The Committee provides various opportunities for the students to relax and to enhance their skills and talents. These are organised by the Coordinator of the Cultural Committee in the college to address the inhibitions and stage fear of the students and these encourage them to open up. The cultural activities play a large role in building the mind-set and attitude of the students. While performing specific art forms from other states and regions the students learn to respect the large cultural diversity that India has and the programmes showcase the harmonious relations amongst students.

Prestigious intercollegiate competitions, intra-college competitions, events of cultural activities are various avenues encouraged and supported by the institute. The students have brought success, name and fame through their participation in various cultural competitions, and this has led to a highly valued, appreciated and lively vibrant campus life experience for students. Students have received recognition at various levels. Few alumni of our institute have taken up full-time careers in drama, media dance, one act play and music etc.

College also provides support for cultural activities and events in many forms to conduct these events. Institute also supports students with significant funds for cultural fests and events. Support is also in form of provision of Resources needed, audio video equipment, stage equipment’s, drama props, variety of musical instruments.
